The "World Famous Mull Rally"

Mull has a long history of motorsport. In 2010, Mull Car Club took over the organisation of the island’s car rally that now attracts nearly 150 competing cars. It has become the Tunnock’s Mull Rally; it is a closed road event creating the skill of the drivers involved, but also to enjoy the colours of the Hebridean island and sample some of the local hospitality.  The event consists of competitive stages on Friday night, with an overnight break. There are stages in the daylight on Saturday, followed by the final stages on Saturday night, with the event running into the small hours of Sunday morning. Scottish biscuit manufacturer Tunnocks are the sponsor of the event and play a vital part in the 2011 running.  Mull Car Club has published the dates for the Mull Rally.
