Speyside Whisky Festival: 28 April – 2 May 2011

Distilleries, shops, bars, pubs and villages throughout Speyside will be welcoming visitors from around the world with quality malt whiskies, special tastings, outdoor activities, music and many other entertaining events, many more whisky fans can enjoy a rare peek behind the scenes at other well-known distilleries around Speyside which are usually closed to the public but which offer unique events and experiences during the Festival, including Benrinnes, Glenrothes and Mortlach

 

A MINIMUM OF 5 NIGHT PACKAGE IS REQUIRED, either 5 nights in Speyside, or a combined tour for 5 nights or more. For further info please email;

Huntly; superb hotel. Our accommodation here is; 3 x twin rooms and 8 double rooms. Singles can be arranged. We can also arrange transport and evening meals. BELOW.  £135 per room per night  B&B

Elgin; lovely country house. Close to the northern distilleries of Moray/Speyside. We have  1 double, 3 king-size doubles, 2 family (3 pax). We can arrange transport. BELOW.  from £95 per room per night B&B

Aberlour; nice whisky hotel. We have doubles and twins here, we can include evening meals. We can also arrange transport. FIVE nights B&B package. BELOW. £135 per room per night

Inverness; riverside hotel. A 3 star hotel overlooking the River Ness. Transport, evening meals and whisky tastings all available at this hotel.  BELOW. £100 per room per night includes fully cooked breakfast.

Very nice Hotel; Grantown on Spey, B&B basis, dinner can be arranged. Only 8 AND 29TH April. Twin & double rooms. £100 per room per night

Accommodation available in Speyside We can also arrange – transport.  Why not add on before/after for whisky or general touring. 

A SAMPLE 3 NIGHT WHISKY TOUR

3 day Highland tour;

1 May; Depart Speyside after breakfast to Inverness, from here to Glen Ord distillery, where a tasting and tour has been arranged. With a stop for lunch (not inc in cost) before we visit Dalmore distillery. Again a taste and tour has been booked.  The day ends at Dornoch, where our group stay at the Dornoch Castle hotel.  Dinner is included following which, we can return to the bar for a dram or two!

2 May; Depart Dornoch after breakfast where the first stop of the day is at Glenmorangie distillery. This will be followed by a stop for lunch (not inc cost) before we visit Tomatin distillery. We end the day at Inverness, staying at a hotel sitting on the banks of the River Ness. Many options this evening for dinner.  

3 May; Depart after breakfast for our final day touring. We head down the great glen, passing Loch Ness to Fort William, where we stop to visit the Ben Nevis distillery. Time for lunch (not inc) before heading back to Inverness via the last distillery; Dalwhinnie. Overnight at Inverness. Tour ends here.
