A grand Irish whiskey tour for our friends from Canada Arrive Dublin Friday 6th Sept; Arrive Dublin transfer on our own to hotel. Enjoy Dublin at leisure. PALACE bar whiskey TASTING tonight. Overnight at the Clontarf Castle hotel. Sept Sat 7th; Take the Hop-on/off bus and visit Kilmainham gaol, Guinness Storehouse. This afternoon visit Dublin Castle maybe. THIS EVENING A CLONTARF WHISKEY TASTING. Overnight at the Clontarf Castle hotel. Sept Sun 8th; Visit Trinity College - O’Connell St. The Post Office,. Walk across the ha’penny bridge and visit Grafton Street for shopping. CAFÉ EN SEINE DUBLIN tasting whiskey tonight with "nibbles"! Overnight at the Clontarf Castle hotel. Monday 9th; Coach meets group at hotel. Today we travel first to the Tullamore Dew Heritage Centre, our first tasting. After a quick bite for lunch at The Dylan Whisky Bar – overnight Kilkenny, with a sample of the delights here pubs). Tuesday 10th; This morning, relax as we drive south to Cork, where we tour The Jameson Experience, Cork, some free time, overnight here. We shall add in plenty to the itinerary today, without making it too busy. The South County Bar & Restaurant - Douglas Village, a dram tonight. Wednesday 11th; Driving north via Limerick to Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Athenrye and another wee stop or two, overnight in the Connemara area, sadly no distillery, but we will be sampling the dram later in the trip. Freeney's Pub, Off-Licence and Tackle Shop - High Street, Galway City suggested for a dram tonight. Thursday 12th; Across country again today as we visit; Kilbeggan Distillery & Locke's Museum, Paul really likes this place! In fact recommends it! Some nice scenery stops en route each way, returning to Galway for overnight. Friday 13th; North today as we head into Derry, a good visit with free time, before heading out again east along the Antrim coast, overnight in Coleraine. Stop for lunch Langs Bar & Restaurant Grange Co. Sligo. Saturday 14th; We visit Bushmills today, along with the Giants Causeway. Driving to Belfast for the night. Sunday 15th; Another Belfast tour. Perhaps a tour of the New Titanic Belfast Museum opened in 2012. Situated at the original Harland & Wolfe Shipyard. Perhaps visit the Falls Rd. and the Shankill Rd., scenes of the bloody fighting during the 30 year troubles. Monday 16th; Dublin today – driving south and arriving into Dublin noonish/mid-afternoon. Stop at Hill of Tara or Boyne. direct to Dublin; Jamesons group tour. Overnight Dublin, tour ends. This tour will include many visits, as listed, also many tastings, as listed, with drams to surprise and delight you all! Some good Independent bottlings, Wild Geese, Teeling, Irishman, Knappogue Castle, some grand food/whiskey evenings! You will just have to wait and see what we have for you! |
