Gaelic Ring: Rum Tour - 5 Nights for two persons.

DAY 1; Take the train from Glasgow, to Fort William, a great scenic run in itself! Enjoy the day and take it easy as you soak up this unique highland atmosphere. Overnight in Fort William.

DAY 2; Something different from Fort William take a ride on the Jacobite Steam Train, as seen in Harry Potter. This superb run takes you through stunning scenery to Mallaig, where you have time to explore before checking into your accommodation, no car needed just now. Enjoy Mallaig tonight.

DAY 3;  DAY 4; Sailing to the Small isles  with CALMAC. Use these two days to explore these isles and, why not pay a visit to Britain's most remote pub? You need a boat to get there!

DAY 5; Skye, taking the ferry to Armadale where you can walk to Armadale castle and Gardens, spend an hour or two here before a return ferry to Mallaig and your final night here.

DAY 6; Train to Glasgow, passing through that wonderful scenery again, ending the day at Queen Street Station, Glasgow, your tour ends here.

Gaelic Ring: Rum

Introduction
The West Highland fishing village of Mallaig is the port for MV Lochnevis, the ferry that serves the islands of Rum, Eigg, Muck and Canna – collectively known as the Small Isles. MV Loch Nevis provides a regular and important link to these special islands and the opportunity to undertake this Ring and view the West Highland mainland, the neighbouring island of Skye, the Outer Hebrides to the west and the mountains of Mull to the south, is very appealing.

Although Caledonian MacBrayne do not extend to this route, CalMac operate a series of non-landing cruises to the Small Isles from Mallaig. Ferry tickets to the islands can also be purchased.
