PERTHSHIRE WHISKY FESTIVAL 2009

 

 

Wednesday 2nd September

Tasting session at the Foundry Bar, Perth.
8pm in a reserved part of the bar, limited numbers. This is a very informal and fun tasting, a selection of 5 drams will be offered with a "guess the region" theme to the tastings. The session will last approximately 1 hour with some nibbles available between drams.

Thursday 3rd September

Braemar Whisky Tour starts; This tour only has 10 places  It will be crammed full of excellent whisky tasting, superb Scottish scenery the gathering at Braemar (usually attended by HM The Queen) and will be so much fun. Your accommodation is in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire. DETAILS

Thursday 10th September

Dewar's World of Whisky. A superb "personalised" Signature Tour. You will be welcomed at Dewars by expert staff at this fine Scottish distillery. We escort you in for the full tour through the whole process of whisky making to the end product:  Signature Super Premium, Aberfeldy 21 year old single malt, Aberfeldy 12
year old and one or two more maybe? Taste direct from cask (currently a 22 yo Aberfeldy). The key to this whole visit is about personal treatment, guided tasting, and the cask tasting is pretty special. Of course, the Signature Tour also includes entry to the Dewar's Heritage Exhibition and a personalised tour of the distillery with one of our guides.

Friday 11th September

Grand Finale Whisky Dinner.
Enjoy a whisky with each course as you sample the delights of Perthshire in food and whisky. We fully guide you through all the courses and whisky for this evening.
 

Tuesday 1st September

THE WHISKY OF PERTHSHIRE
 

On this evening we shall be nosing and tasting; Tullibardine; Edradour; Dewars; Bells; Famous Grouse. Full details posted as soon as we have finalised the evening.

 

Tuesday 8th September

Tasting session at the Foundry Bar, Perth.

Wednesday 9th September

Glenturret Distillery home to the Famous Grouse, we sample 5 drams today. Time also for lunch at the Glenturret Distillery. Fully guided with transport included.
