The OBAN and the distillery tour; one of the few
distilleries to be located in the centre of a town,
but
with no where to expand. Join us and visit this
beautiful distillery and find out all there is to
know about this west coast treasure.
Needless to say a good tasting session will form
part of the proceedings!
Just a we note about
Oban; Paul of MCLEANSCOTLAND was born not
three miles from here, he knows it well and
has mentioned the seafood landed on the pier
each day is fantastic and suggests you all
try some. |

Ben Nevis
once used both process of distillation
under the same roof, yes continuous and pot
processes where once used and gave birth to a single
blend called the Dew of Ben Nevis;
matured from birth
and bottled as a 40yrs old.
This Distillery located
so close to the Ben Nevis mountain, offers a tour
out of the ordinary with expert veterans giving us a
hand held tour where I am told all depth of whisky communication can take place. Be prepared and ask
that pertinent question for a prompt answer! |

21 July; A whisky dinner is on the menu this evening, enjoy!
 |
Hosted by Regis Whisky Mad you have the opportunity
to participate in a whisky dinner,
Whisky with food!?
Really! och, yes!
This will consist of 3 pre dinner whiskies just to
warm up and discover the perfect way to enjoy Scotch
whisky water or no water? The Ritual! Wait and see you will be enlightened, after
which each course of your meal will then be served
with a carefully selected and matched Scotch whisky,
single malt or blended which ever will be best
suited. Explanation will be given all the way
through the meal and feedback will be thought from
all. The best of Scotland Larder with the best
spirit in the world! (Ok I am biased - but its good
aye!) |
 |
The final day of our tour, we head to AUCHENTOSHAN
- renowned for being
a Glasgow Distillery
and also for producing the only
triple distilled
single malt. With a new visitor centre, a re
branding, Auchentoshan is red hot. I particularly
like the new expression called “Classic” an entry
level malt worth trying.
With time for lunch here, we then move to our final
destination; EDINBURGH. |
