PAYMENTS
Deposit - A
20% deposit of the total tour cost is required upon
booking. Bank transfer, bankers draft,
personal
or business cheques are acceptable forms of
payment, unless vacation booked within 2 calendar
months of arrival. Due to the continual fluctuation of currency,
cheques made payable other than in sterling will be
converted by our bank on the day of cheque clearance.
Irrespective of world
currency rates our tours are always quoted in pounds sterling. Your deposit and final payment may therefore
clear our bank at different exchange rates in accordance
with worldwide markets.
Final
balance - required to clear our UK bank no less than 2 calendar months prior to arrival. Bank
transfer and bankers draft are accepted.
We request that the person
making the booking is responsible for full tour payment
for every person travelling. Should
payment be made by individual travellers within a
group we will make a charge of £10 per person for
banking and admin costs.
GROUP
BOOKINGS
For group bookings,
once an itinerary is agreed, we require an initial
minimum admin fee of £1000,
which is deducted from the final balance. If
hotels require us to secure accommodation with a
deposit (on your behalf), you will be required to
forward the additional deposit to us. This only
happens occasionally.
ALTERATIONS
TO TOURS
Itineraries may need to be changed by mcleanscotland
due to weather or circumstances beyond our control.
All clients will be informed of any such change
prior to, or during the vacation. Any changes
made by the client after deposit, will incur an admin
charge.
CAR RENTALS FOR SELF DRIVE
If you are renting a vehicle
through mcleanscotland please read your personal
travel insurance first, to see what is included in
your own insurance. As CDW is generally not
included in Scotland, although the company we use
arnold Clark, do explain this to you at point of
pick up, where you have the option to include this.

CANCELLATION
BY CLIENT
Deposits and admin fees are non refundable.
Should you have to cancel your booking for any reason,
please inform mcleanscotland immediately in writing
to avoid incurring any unnecessary charge. As
our bookings are arranged with service providers
many weeks in advance of the date of travel as a
result we are required to impose cancellation
charges. These cancellation charges may be
recovered through the clients’ travel insurance,
subject to the terms of the policy and we would
therefore encourage you to obtain cancellation
cover. Cancellations made up to two
calendar months prior to arrival will be repaid 50%
of tour balance. Any Cancellations made
thereafter will have no refund by mcleanscotland.
CANCELLATION
BY MCLEAN SCOTLAND
In the unlikely event of mcleanscotland cancelling
your vacation, due to circumstances beyond our control,
a full refund or replacement will be offered.
We may cancel your tour should your group not meet
the agreed minimum number. We are happy
to re-cost should numbers fall below quote.
INSURANCE
All clients travelling with mcleanscotland are
strongly advised
to take out insurance against cancellation, theft
and medical expenses. We advise you to read
your insurance terms and conditions carefully before
leaving home.
GENERAL
CONDITIONS We accept the booking in good faith and
you agree that there are no reasons which have not
been disclosed to us in writing before booking (e.g.
severe infirmity or incapability) which may make it
unwise for you or your party to embark on the tour.
The price of your holiday is guaranteed in pounds
sterling and will not be subject to any variations,
either increase or decrease except for those resulting
from changes in either the cost of fuel (large coach
groups only) or government taxes. If you or any member
of your party is considered causing offence, danger,
damage or distress to others whilst on tour we reserve the right
to cancel or terminate your vacation from this point.
If this situation arises we will be under no obligation
to cover expenses incurred nor shall we consider any
claims for compensation or refunds.
COMPLAINTS
Any complaints regarding accommodation or vehicle
rental should be made directly to the service provider
in the first instance and then in writing to mcleanscotland
at your earliest opportunity. Complaints regarding
the tour should be made in writing to mcleanscotland
within 48 hours of departure -
