http://scotsindallas.org   The Scottish Society of Dallas was organized at the Salado Gathering of the Clans, Salado, TX in 1963. The original name was "Scottish Clans of North Texas, in Dallas, Texas". The organizers were Jean Luch, Bill Bell, Bill McRight, and others. Early meetings were held at Luby's Cafeteria at Preston Center until the meetings were moved to the Garland Women's Activities Building. Over the years the Society has supported the Dallas Highland Games held at Samuel Park, the International Bazaar at Dallas City Hall, the Highland Games in Arlington, and the State Fair of Texas.

www.duartcastle.com Home to the Chiefs of Clan Maclean, Duart, Isle of Mull.  A restored castle with the first mention of Maclean in 1367.  My own castle - when in Oban or on Mull please go and take a look.  Mclean Scotland take visitors here every year and we never tire of the castle!

Norman hand carved clan crests from a variety of hardwoods. These stunning high-relief sculptures are then cold cast, in bronze. The crests are then hand burnished and mounted on a wooden shield, displaying the clan name on a brass plaque.

The evacuation of its native population in 1930 brought to a close an extraordinary story of survival.
