"Denny and Dunipace Pipe Band have been a competing band for over 40 years. Based in the two small towns in Central Scotland from which the band takes its name, the organisation continues to play and compete regularly around Scotland and Ireland, whilst also promoting teaching of both pipes drums to anyone who wishes to learn. With two bands in the organisation, the Grade 2, having been promoted in 2006 following a successful season that included World Championship and Champion of Champion wins. The band is led by Pipe-Major Mark Sutherland and they wear the Princess Elizabeth tartan."

The Andy Grant Column

Andy is the Drum Major in Denny, he says he does not drink much, I would agree with that, he spills most of it! When we can, we hound him for stories of competitions, days out and general chit chat on the band, but as we say, he needs pushing to get these done, he would say he is a very busy man, we would say, "come on ol' duffer get writing!" Words and pictures of the pipers and drummers, it's hard to get these shy people to say anything! What do pipers think of drummers? and what do they think of Pipers? Come to that, what do the girls think of the boys and vice versa? can this section ever be read? Is any of it legal and ok enough to actually print? Lets wait and see what is said and what happens, if the band end up fighting, I will say it was not my idea! LINK coming soon.

Paul is the supporter club organiser and founder (along with Ken) and writes on the competitions also, in competition to Andy, he thinks his is the better section, but then again so does Andy think his is best! We have club members all around the world from Scotland, England (aye even them down there!) to Australia United States and Canada and everywhere in between. A supporters club for a pipe band? are they mad? Well, just about as mad as the band actually. The club was started by Paul and Kenny McLean, Paul is a Scot from Perth - well, living in Perth but not from there, but that's another (long) story.
