newest distillery and one that must have the title
of the "furthest Scotch whisky distillery west" -

Visit
with us, we can offer a Lewis/Harris journey, including transport, ferries, a distillery tour and
accommodation.
DAY ONE;
starting 9am from either Edinburgh or
Glasgow in a self drive car or use one of
our own driver guides, following the road
north to Fort William. Take a rest here and
well, why not pay a visit to Ben Nevis
distillery? A good way to start. Followed by
a drive to Mallaig and the ferry to Skye,
driving to Uig for your first
overnight stay.
DAY TWO;
catching the morning ferry to Tarbert on
Harris, then driving to discover some
ancient sites; Calanais standing
stones (3 huge rings) and Dun Carloway,
an ancient dun both near eachother on
Lewis. Superb scenic and historic
touring, ending the day at your hotel;
Stornoway.
DAY THREE;
today is the day to explore
Abhainn Dearg.
Spend all morning
at Uig on Lewis and the wee
distillery. Have a late lunch locally before driving
back to Tarbert and your hotel for
the night. Time permitting, discover the
mountains of Harris.
DAY FOUR;
catch the ferry back to Skye and
another Uig, one more distillery today;
Talisker, the only one on Skye. Then
drive along to the road bridge leaving Skye
and paying a visit to Eilean Donan Castle.
Staying locally overnight.
DAY FIVE; from here to a choice of
destinations; A) Inverness and
Speyside, or B) Perthshire. No
matter which option you choose, we can
easily pre arrange three more
distilleries to choose from today.
Staying overnight local to where you have
chosen.
DAY SIX; final tour day, as you return
south to either Glasgow or Edinburgh,
stopping at Tullibardine distillery
in Perthshire on either route. Ending the
day and tour overnight in either Glasgow
or Edinburgh.
Not only is this a
superb whisky tour, but a great scenic tour
for non drinkers with much to visit and see
and enjoy.
